I've written my own lesson workbooks because I found most available books simply don't excite students. Every student gets a workbook (suitable for their level) built around real musical foundations; not just chord shapes to memorise.

You'll work through:

• Reading music (standard notation, tab, chord charts, rhythm).

• Musical theory, focus on guitar fundamentals.

• Rhythm guitar: Chords and strumming.

• Lead guitar: scales, fretboard, ornamentation and technique.

• Playing songs with other musicians (eg in a band).

• Composition and songwriting.

• Equipment maintenance and gear selection.

Lessons are $50 per half hour. I do not charge GST. 

I provide a workbook for each student with the lessons that were developed by me. These are just $15, to cover the cost of printing. 

I also offer extra services relating to guitar maintenance:

• String changes - standard guitar (restring, fretboard clean, clean and polish guitar, tune): $30 + strings

• String changes - complex guitar (as above, but for a 12 string or electric guirar with a floating tremolo) $45 + strings

• Guitar setup (no floating tremolo, sorry) – string change service as well as intonation test, neck relief, string height adjustment, pickup height adjustment and intonation adjustment. $100 + strings

I keep a small stock of Elixir strings and guitar picks that may be purchased as required.
