About Gigatar

Hi, I’m Kim Bartlett, the founder of Gigatar. I have been playing and teaching guitar for over 30 years, and I'm pleased to be able to share my experience. I have been a musician since I was 4, I also play piano, bass guitar, drums and sing. I have played in a variety of bands, and I currently play in a covers band. 

I started this simply because I enjoy teaching music and guitar. My goal is to make learning the guitar both enjoyable, and practical. I aim to help students build musical fluency, while keeping lessons engaging and tailored to their interests. I teach out of my private studio in my home in Castle Hill. 

The greatest achievement for me is to have a student develop competent guitar skills that they continue to use and enjoy for the rest of their lives. Both on their own, and with other musicians. Learning an instrument is an asset for life!

I have two children of my own, and have coached kids’ sports teams for 5 years now. I maintain a professional Working With Childrens Check, which includes a police check.
